Still Valborg...

I finally uploaded the pictures in my camera. There was quite many. Now I just have the exciting job of resizing and sort them. Jippiiie....

Was downtown earlier today to look at the students rafting it was very amusing as always. Now I've started the grill and gonna cook me up the catch of the day before tonights adventures begins. Because tonight you see my friends, it is Valborgsmässoafton, Walpurgis Night, and also time for "vårblot", which is an old pagan sacrifice rite. We will light huge bonfires to welcome summer and make our sacrifices so that our crops will grow. It is all part of our old pagan rituals and this is exactly what happens in Sweden. I'm not making anything up! ;)

Valborg

Valborg imorgon. Blir dock ingen champagne frukost för mig. Men ska däremot ta mig ner till stan tidigt och kolla på forsränningen tänkte jag, det brukar vara rätt så kul. Valborg firas betydligt mer i Uppsala än vad det brukar göra i övriga landet, så någon form av fest får det nog bli. Jag kanske ska sätta eld på något och göra en egen majbrasa. :P

Easter

I killed the easter bunny and took all of his eggs. I ate them while all the little children were watching with tear filled eyes. Then I jumped on my broom and flew to Blåkulla (Blue virgin), where I danced with the devil and celebrated in a heathen way, because that is what we do over easter here in Sweden. I have some funny pictures of my easter that I will upload and share with you. Once I can be bothered to upload them that is.

Now, I am absolutely in love with this song. I demand you listen to it, or you will share the fate of the easter  bunny.

Going metal

Since I listened to Pain I got the urge to listen to good 'ol Hypocrisy. And so must all of you, or feel my wrath!

This is one of their best songs ever in my opinion.

Pain

Watched the new video by Pain this morning and it made me giggle. The drummer has almost as bad temper as me. The song isn't the best I've heard but it's alright. Peter Tätgren is an awesome musician but I think I do prefer Hypocrisy over Pain.

Another thing about spring...

Not only does my title rhyme (yes, I'm really talented like that), but, I thought of something that I don't like about the season. Dogs shedding hair. There's dog hair everywhere! And no matter how many times you brush them, they still keep shedding tons and tons. I have considered shaving them a few times, but I'm not sure they would like the idea as much as me. And I'm considerate like that, I care about my dogs opinions! (Yes, I am not only a  crazy cat lady, I am also a crazy dog lady.) Perhaps I should gather all the dog hair, and send it to someone that make yarn out of it and knit something fashionable. How about a poncho made out of dog hair?!
Perhaps I could get rich, selling high quality dog hair! :P






On a side note. I miss my friend, and if you read this, I'm sorry for being a bitch. I blame it all on PMS! So please come back now. I saw a funny add when I looked at my blog earlier. And even though the add is in swedish, I of course read it in english at first... And I think you know why it reminded me of you. ;P

Spring

Spring is here, if anyone might have missed that. Spring is one of the seasons I really like. It makes me happy, full of energy and wanting to do everything. Take long walks with my dogs, tidy the yard, clean the house etc.

The weather has been lovely this weekend, clear blue sky, sunshine and I've been lying in bed with a cold from hell! My eyes and nose are rinning constantly and I have a mountain of tissues lying around. My throat is so sore, I've lost my voice. I cough so bad I think my lungs were about to leave me at one point, and my abs feel as if they've been to the gym doing an excessive amount of crunches. I feel so terribly, terribly sorry for myself. And I'm quite sure that no one is as miserable as I am when I'm sick. Poor, poor me!

Late night rescue operation

Just before I was heading to bed the other night I heard Alice meow loudly from outside my 2nd floor window. I looked out and saw she was sitting on top of the living rooms oriel window. She apparently thought it was too high to jump down to the ground, and also too high to jump back to the bedroom window, which is probably where she got out. Loving and caring as I am I couldn't just let her sit there, so in the middle of the night, half naked I leaned out of the window, almost falling out myself, but I managed to grab her by the tail and could lift her back into safety! I am such a hero, rescuing cats like that. And Alice was so happy to get back in she decided to sleep on top of me the whole night. Ahh who said life in the suburbs was dull?! Not my neighbours anyway....

Another late night activity I found to be very amusing was to open the mobile World of warcraft armory and take screenshots of my characters. If it was the late hour that made this activity so amusing I will not speculate in. Anyway, I thought I'd share some pictures of my awesome goblin priest, who is just awesome. Not only is she a goblin, which makes you by default awesome, but she is my goblin, which makes her even more awesome!

I've applied for another job today. I'm still not gonna tell about the other job I'm applying for just yet. But the one I applied for today is too cool to not be told. Are you ready? Hold on to your hats, here goes.

I've applied for a job driving the ice cream van! How cool is that?! Riding around in an awesome van, playing a cheery tune while rolling down the streets selling ice cream! It just can't get much better than that.

Another goodie I feel the need to share with you.

I'm back home after a short visit to my dear little mum, who lives about 3 hours from me. I went there to celebrate her birthday. It's so nice to see her, only wish I could do it a little more often. Love you mum! <3

I've been browsing a few websites this night and I found a job I'm gonna apply for. Its nothing I've done before, but it seems like a fun and quite exciting job. I'm not gonna tell just yet what it is, but rest assured, if I were to get it, you will know. I am really excited. ;)

Annoying news though. Vanessa Lopez had to leave Big brother tonight. I'm so disappointed, all that is left in there now are the colourless mainstreamers. Useless, gutless people that only dare speak their mind if they are in company with another like minded fool. Unfortunately they represent something like 90% of the population in the world. Such a shame. I will miss you Vanessa, all the best to you whatever you do next!

Ops I did it again... Well this was a first, but non the less very annoying. When I emptied my washing machine this night, I discovered that I had been washing my brand new compact powder. And if anyone didn't know, compact  powder and hot water doesn't go very well together. Specially in a washing machine. It makes the powder go poof, gone... I'm not really sure how I managed to get it into the machine without noticing, because the clothes I washed doesn't have any pockets! This is just so typical me, and I can't stop facepalming myself.
