Something old...

My hardrive is getting full to the breaking point, so I've been going through some old files trying to get some space. And I've realised I have so many pictures. So, so many pictures of random things. From closet doors to castles. A lot of pictures are of yours truly as well, and looking at them is like looking at a colour palette, all those different hair colours. I like it! This picture is from 3-4 years ago and really bad quality, but I do love that colour!

When your real pets aren't enough...

You can always get new virtual ones! For your sims! Finally the sims 3: pets was released. I've been waiting for this expansion ever since the sims 2! I loved the original sims unleashed expansion, and this new one is even better. The sims is just such a brilliant game. Make crazy people, build them crazy houses and make them do crazy things. Since my real life career, as ruler of the universe is going a bit slow at the moment, it's a good practice to rule over my sims untill I will rule mankind.


But yes, now my crazy sims finally got some company by crazy horses, crazy dogs and cats. My sim world is finally complete! :D
What I really like about the expansion is that you can make different breeds. And of course I have made my own pets, current and old ones come to life in the game. It's just so awesome!

I'm going to redecorate my bedroom. I'm just not sure how I want it yet. What I do know is that I need shelves for all my makeup, and I would really want a vintage dressing table with a big mirror. I also need colour in my room. I've been looking around the web a bit to try and find a nice coloured wallpaper, but it seems to be quite impossible to find. Another problem when trying to find inspiration is that, in sweden people seem to be afraid to decorate with vibrant colours, and the most boring thing to me, is a room in white. White walls, white furniture, white curtains. Ok, ok, sometimes there is one wall in the room with a different colour, but still. SO EFFIN BORING!

Another thing that disgusts me, when it comes to decorating, is all these words people insist on putting on their walls. "Harmony, Love, Hope" etc. The only thing missing is a big peace sign, and you would feel like you're in a hippie community. Just a lot less colourful one. :P


So yeah, I can see how redecorating my bedroom is going to be a big and looong project. And if anyone knows of good place to get inspiration, please let me know!

Ghosts of christmas past...

Been thinking about my dad a lot lately. Probably because his birthday just passed. It's 12 years since he passed away, and I still think about him daily. I miss him so much. I guess there's never really no getting over the death of a parent. I just wish I could've had my dad left just a little bit longer, so I could tell him that I love him and how much he's meant to me, but most of all that I'm sorry. The last time I spoke to him was the day before christmas eve 1998. We had an argument and fell out. I never spoke to him again. 3 weeks later I got a call saying my dad had died... I was so stubborn and naive back then, and this is something I will never get over, and it isn't any easier to deal with, 12 years later.

But anyway, happy birthday dad. I wish I could've said it to you, and given you a present, instead of lighting a candle and hope that you sleep well.

I'm badly injured! I broke a nail when opening a pack of juice. I don't normally whine about breaking a nail, but this broke really deep and it hurts like hell, so thus it is justified.

I really hope I will heal in good time, since these arrived this week. ;)

Saturday

Mum's gone back home. Time to get back to normal routines... Like sleeping late. I don't get what's with old people and early mornings. Why do they have to get up with the sun? Or better question. Why do they have to make everyone else wake up early, just because they do? :P

Oh well. I'm gonna get some rest now. I feel it is well deserved. ;D
